Research Group for Cultures, Policies, Lifestyle
Introduction
The research group analyses cultural behaviours and policies in the field of economy and society. It deals with changing roles of the individual and the family units, as well as the relationship between tradition and modernity. The researchers analyses the adaptation process of cultural patterns, the cultural differences, the competitiveness of society and individual (winners and losers), the manifestation of everyday life’s culture: violence in media, popular genres, production of visual culture, etc.). The scientists of the workshop handle the different cultural behavioural patterns in their correlation, as well as the operation of institutions and are searching the answers for the changes in the cultural paradigm. The discourse analysis plays a prominent role in the research of the workshop, which studies the role and responsibility of the individual and politics in relation to everyday life, cultural diversity and the connecting points of different cultures.
