Introduction

In every waves of the ESS/EUTE resarch there are premanent, fix topics and changeable modules, what are suggested by the participating countries to the leading board from international professionals. The basic modules, the basic questionnaire of every waves are about Media, social security (A block), Politics, including: interest towards politics, effectivness, confidence, participation in election, loyalty in political parties, social-political orientation (B block), Well-being, social deprivation; religion; discrimination; national and ethnic identity (C block), Social-Democratic profile, including: component of households, age, teritory, education and employment, partner, parents, trade unione membership, income, marital status (F block) and about the human values (G block).

The third wave in 2006 analized the „Personal and Social Well-being”. This module compiled by psychologists attends to measure satisfaction and happiness. Among the elements of the personal well-being there are dimensions like optimism-pessimism, self-evaluation, satisfaction with living conditions and work. Among the examined elements of social well-being there is the community feeling, friendship, companionship, but less obvious topics are also included, such as integrity and justice in small communities. The title of the other module is: „The Timing of Life: The Organization of the Life Course”. The „Timing of Life module examined when the different events of life happen and in what age. The type of questions were the following: when somebody starts independent life, when somebody moves appart from the parents, when somebody has the first stable relationship, when somebody has the first child. The work-life was also examined. There is an interesting dimension, which studied the peoples’ opinions about who can count to be an adult, what are the characteristic of being an adult and when the old ages start.  The questions like „when it is a good time for moving away, when it is a good time to get married and good time to have a baby” reflects the basic differencies between the European societies
